Juliette Miranda

Juliette-105 retouched

Juliette Miranda is an author, essayist, and general misanthrope writing “mostly true” stories about travel, bourbon, and life. Her writing career mirrors the movie Almost Famous. More industrious than the typical music fan, Juliette translated her passion into 15 years of rock journalism stretching from Chicago to Los Angeles and back. She was a regular columnist for a Sun-Times affiliate, several magazines, and countless ill-fated websites taken out by the dot-com boom.

Her exploits became fodder for her first book, Morning Neurosis, a lightly fictionalized memoir about rock ‘n’ roll, relationships, and reality. Highlights from her national book tour include readings at Barnes & Noble Las Vegas, Borders Oak Brook and Barnes & Noble Schaumburg. The Daily Herald praised the touring as being, “… more rowdy than the typical literary event.”

Today, Juliette has turned to podcasting and YouTube to share her unconventional adventures. She claims to be at work on a second book, Home Is Where We Are Not.
